Durham Intermediate garden

Durham Intermediate School was officially recognized as a Master Gardener project in 2012. The garden has a large array of perennials, shrubs, climbing vines, and several raised beds for student gardening.

In 2016 the garden was awarded first place in the state for its research project on potato planting, harvesting and preparation by the Texas Master Gardener’s Association. This garden is certified as a Monarch Way station and a Wildlife Natural Habitat. In addition we have hosted several Eagle Scout projects and we work with the Young Mens Service League on a regular basis. We have had a TCMGA intern project in our garden for five years running.

This project always welcomes new volunteers!
