Rose Garden

Rose Garden

The rose garden has lost a lot of plants due to rose rosette, so we have decided to wait a little bit to see if the bed is still infected. At the same time we are planting perennials and annual rose companion plants. We have taken cuttings at the botanical garden and it looks like about 40 roses have rooted. We will baby them till the fall and replant at that time.

Composting Site

We recycle the Demo Garden’s tree and plant trimmings to decrease landfill waste. We then use that compost in all areas of our demo garden. We also educate students on the importance of composting and the steps involved in creating and maintaining compost sites.
